Terms and Conditions

For general Do’s and Dont’s, please visit our Field Etiquette page. For further details about our terms, you’re in the right place.

Animals Banned Under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

Regrettably, we are currently unable to accept animals that are subject to a Control Order or are banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. We currently do not have the required insurance to accommodate these dogs.

Dog Health

Dogs should be adequately vaccinated and wormed. If your dog is showing any signs of illness do not use the fields and be respectful of other pets and their owners. Puppies from 11 weeks old (one week after receiving their second vaccinations) are welcome to use the fields provided their vaccinations are in place.

Please do not smoke or vape on our property. Vaping liquid is highly toxic and dangerous to dogs.

Bookings

The dog walking fields can be booked by appointment only using our online booking system. Each booking is private which means you will be the only user present during your time slot.

Once you have booked you will receive a gate code to access the dog field that you have booked an hour before your appointment starts. This code is changed regularly.

Your time slot includes the time it takes you to enter and leave the field.

The booking is personal to the Hirer and may not be transferred or sublet.

Bookings can be rescheduled but cancellations are non-refundable. You can reschedule any booking, for free, up until 24 hours before it is due to start. Please visit your original booking confirmation email, click the ‘change time’ button, and follow the steps to find new available times.

All bookings must be paid for in advance – by card at the time of booking.

Please be aware that CCTV is in operation to protect our customers and our property. We reserve the right to refuse permission or evict any person(s) from the premises.

All prospective customers must ensure the field is suitable and secure for their specific use (i.e., fence height, fencing material, and proximity to motorists, the general public, and livestock) before releasing their animals in the field.

Use at Your Own Risk

You agree that your use of the field is at your own risk and agree not to hold ‘Harbury Fields Dog Walking Fields’, its owners, or staff responsible for any injury to you, your family/friends, your vehicles, or your dogs arising from your use of the field.

The fields are a large outdoor space and contain areas of uneven/ stony/ muddy/ wet ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, have overhanging branches from trees or hedges around the edges which may fall or have fallen, and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside.

We check and maintain the fields regularly to ensure that they are fit for use. Due to their nature as open fields, we cannot be held responsible for the activity or any noise from neighbouring fields and areas as these are out of our control, this can occasionally include noise from on neighbouring commercial businesses and farmland, as an example.

We will not accept responsibility for injury, illness, or death of your dog from using our facilities. You are advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.

You agree not to let anyone else onto the field other than any friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs. Your dog remains your responsibility during your visit and should not be left unattended.

By bringing friends or family, or sending somebody in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.

You will find a tap for water in the field – this is for animal use only. The tap runs off a water mains system and we are not responsible for any contamination.

Any logs, tires, jumps, tunnels or other activities in the field are to be used at your own risk, we accept no responsibility to users or dogs for any accidents while using these items. Equipment is checked regularly to ensure its safety. Please ensure you and your dogs are using the field and its contents in a way that is consistent with fitness, age, and physical capability to prevent any harm. If necessary please seek advice from professionals before using the activities to ensure it is suitable for your dog – the intention is for them to be enriching and to improve fitness and flexibility, spatial awareness, and provide your dogs with an additional fun sensory experience. Please use any equipment you find respectfully and leave it as you found it. The equipment is for dogs only, not humans.

Children and Guests

You are welcome to bring your children, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure that they do not injure themselves, break our field etiquette or any of these terms and conditions. Please be aware that the field has not been made child safe, and that certain elements may pose an additional hazard to children (non-child-proof dog poo bins for example).

Please do not allow children in your care to use the dog’s enrichment equipment.

The Farm and Surrounding Buildings

Your booking exclusively covers the dog walking field that you are hiring for the allotted time. The rest of the farm, walkways, facilities, and buildings are private property and should not be entered.

Due to the fields being located on a working farm and where other businesses are operating from, in accordance with the law regarding “responsible dog ownership” you are entirely responsible for your and your own dog’s safety whilst using the fields. The law states that you should be in control of your dog at all times. Therefore, all dogs should be kept on leads when not in the secure fields.

Fencing

Although we inspect and maintain the fences regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to several reasons including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fencing, please let us know immediately by calling 07938456212 and/or emailing hello@harburyfieldsdogwalkingfields.co.uk so that we can make other users aware and so that we can fix it as soon as possible. We cannot, however, take any responsibility for any dog escaping whether or not this is through a defect in the fence, and regardless of whether we have notified you in advance or not.

Using The Fields

You must enter the field that you have booked and close the gate before letting your dog(s) out of your vehicle to ensure the safety of the dog(s), nearby road users, and members of the public.

It is your responsibility to pick up all of your dog’s waste and dispose of it in the bins provided. Please take any other waste with you when you leave, including dog toys and litter. Do not let your dogs dig holes in the field and please discourage them from making excessive noise that may disturb residents and livestock nearby. Anyone found to be misusing the field will be blocked from future bookings. You may not exercise your dog outside of the designated secure dog walking field.

For further information, please read our Field Etiquette page.

Professionals Using The Fields

If you use the field for business purposes i.e., for your dog walking services or training classes you must have public liability insurance to cover your business activities i.e., clients and their dogs, and be able to produce proof if asked upon booking.
